Taken. Whisked away to hell. Forever bound to a monstrous god. This is seventeen-year-old Gabrielle Fiori’s fate. It’s everything she’s ever feared, and it has all come to pass.

Only … the devil isn’t the monster she remembers. At times he seems gentle and, most unnerving of all, she’s drawn to him. He wants her for all eternity, and if she gives in, everything he has to offer can be hers. The only cost? The last of her soul—and her humanity.

By a twist of myth, Gabrielle finds herself back on earth from dusk to dawn. Back where the living breathe, where Andre de Leon, the king of vampires and her former soulmate, await her. Yet she can’t help but feel that something’s wrong. She’s wrong. Her blood seeds demons and her powers can move earth and air and all manner of creation.

Now angels flood the skies, gods and demons are made flesh. A battle between good and evil is erupting, and if Gabrielle wants to escape hell and save the world, she’ll need to end it, once and for all.

The Damned The Unearthly Book 5 eBook Laura Thalassa

I've no idea how other to explain this book than anxiety-ridden. Yes, anxiety-ridden is the best term for The Damned.

There's something sinfully delicious when falling for the bad guy, and Satan, The Devil, Pluto, Hades, Asiri is the epitome of evil. The thing is, I found myself leaning toward him a few times. I admit, a tiny part of me wanted Gabrielle and the Devil to share a happy moment, and yes, I felt so terrible afterward thinking it.

"The devil wasn't supposed to have a caring side. He was sadness and despair and loneliness and anger and violence and—"

"I am everything and nothing," he continued. But know this Gabrielle: I am not the devil. Not with you."

See what I mean! Oh, man I didn't think I'd be able to read the entire book without indulging in a galss—okay, bottle—of wine! He's caused Gabrielle and Andre grief from day one, though while he had Gabrielle trapped in hell, Pluto changed.

However, as the myth goes, Gabrielle can leave Hell and return to Earth. Return to Andre, her true soulmate and love of her life. Their affections for one another never wavers, if anything, their bond is strengthened.

"He tasted like I remembered—like home."

So all was right in the world for like, a second. Oliver and Leann turn up and save the day, duh. ;) Oliver, oh how I missed the smart-mouthed fairy. His one-liners had me rolling! Leann is a great seer and leads them from ambush after another.

Gabrielle is kick ass in this book! She's strong and bold and refuses to back down or shy away from what she wants: a life with Andre and her ties free from the Devil for good. Action from page one and the nonstop excitement never slows for a second.

At the end of a series I'm always left feeling something was missing, but not the case with The Damned. Laura Thalassa did a fantastic job writing the final book in The Unearthly Series.

The Damned The Unearthly Book 5 eBook Laura Thalassa Reviews

Grocery store romance book quality.
A great conclusion, to a well written and engaging series. I'm looking forward to reading more from this author.
Entertaining
I really enjoyed this book! I loved seeing the other aspect of Asiri and the build-up of anxiety towards the end when i had no idea what was going to happen. Great ending for a great series!
I read all 5 books in a few days. Could not put this series down. I am telling all my friends about these books.
The first book i have ever read from laura thalassa was the bargainer series..since then ive read the queen of all that dies series and now the unearthy series all this month alone..she is an Amazing author...i always fall in love with her characters..her imagination and the way she brings her stories to life..i cant never put them down..thank you laura thalassa for the privilege of your stories..
I found the ending to be underwhelming and a big let down. The story started off strong but convoluted with devil. A big mess. Also what's with these supposed stubborn female characters? Their behavior comes off as foolish and unwise not smart or courageous. Anyways after the ending I felt like I wasted by weekend.
